Boyzz in Catalonia 2020

At the last minute the padres decided to extend our planned 2 night stay at Terra Dominicata, so we rapidly packed our suitcase and headed north to

the Villa Retiro Michelin starred hotel in Xerta . Reception lacklustre but a huge room ( would have housed all the lads from back home!)

Apart from the exquisite amuse gueles & the pudds, their starred food was not up to our standards!. Breakfast also poor

Bowled over by the Wine Cathedral at Pinell de Brai, designed by a disciple of Gaudi. In the next 2 days we saw several others. Tapas with the tasting were good!

Then on to Terra Dominicata, which certainly lived up to our standards

They had upgraded us VIPs to a junior suite: we loved the bath and the gas fire: only slight downside was but no vistas from it!

Breakfasts were out of this world: rounded off with superb homemade cakes and a glass of Cava. Touring their newish Caves was a necessary

prelude to the tasting! We enjoyed cocktails & dinners too, the experience enhanced by the wondrous Viviana

and then a retreat to the scenic terraza

A trip out to Siurana, one of Spain's many magical, abandonned, villages. Then back to the likewise abandonned monastery of Escaladei

Little did we know that we would soon be locked up ( in official speak" Lockdown" ) indefinitely with all the other lads, and the padres, in Moraira
